This easy chicken and stuffing bake is comfort in a casserole. The chicken is tender and juicy, the stuffing topping contrasts with the creamy sauce, and the added onion soup mix brings so much flavor. A little bit of parsley on top is a nice bright note.
Ingredient :
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 box of stuffing mix
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions :
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, prepare the stuffing mix according to package instructions. Set aside.
3. In a separate bowl, combine the olive oil, dried thyme, dried sage, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
4. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the olive oil mixture over them, making sure they are evenly coated.
5. Spread the prepared stuffing over the chicken breasts, pressing down gently to help it stick.
6. In a small saucepan, heat the cream of chicken soup over medium heat until warm and smooth.
7. Pour the soup over the stuffing and chicken, making sure it covers everything.
8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
9. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the stuffing is golden brown.
